Anja Kooistra
Anja Kooistra is an award-winning artisan and the founder of Rolling Hills Creative Studio, established in 2011 in the picturesque countryside of Sunderland, just outside Uxbridge.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
In the spring of 2018, Anja expanded her business by transforming a rustic barn on her property into a warm and inviting workshop space, perfect for accommodating larger groups and providing ample room for her custom creations.
Inspired by the female form and her love for animals, Anja crafts unique sculptures that are filled with personality, enhancing the beauty and charm of both gardens and interiors.
By working with a variety of fabrics and recycled materials, she embraces unique challenges and opportunities, allowing her the freedom to innovate in her artistic practice.
Anja uses a non-toxic, environmentally friendly universal hardener as her primary medium, ensuring that her sculptures are not only beautiful but also sustainable.

This year, Anja will be welcoming guests to view not only her own work but that of guest artists Toni Hamilton , Gwen Park and Allison Gauthier at her rural studio gallery just north of Uxbridge.
