Francis Muscat
Francis Muscat is a multi-media sculptor with a passion for glass, his work is figurative, architectural, whimsical and never fails to surprise.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Francis Muscat moved from Toronto’s Parkdale community to the” Hills of Uxbridge” in the late 80’s, he has set up his studio in rural Brock Township and has lived here for 32 years.
He studied Glass and Painting at the Ontario College of Art and Three Schools of Art in Toronto. He is mostly self-taught and focuses on researching material and their respective uses in the additive sculptural process.
Francis shows his sculptural works both in private galleries, public galleries, art fairs and at his home/studio in Sunderland. He has also realized works for commissions in private and public spaces.
His passion for Glass is evident in the body of his work, and usually combines it with other material to make objects both architectural and figurative.

Francis has made a commitment to promoting the arts in his community. He also is part time faculty at the Durham College Fine Art programme.

This year, Francis and his guest artist manberdo invite visitors to experience their work at Francis' enchanting woodland studio/gallery north of Uxbridge.
