Do you ever wander around art studios wishing you could do that? Well here's a great opportunity to learn how to carve letters in stone! I mean seriously...How cool is that!?!
Stone Carver Fly Freeman & Calligrapher Wendy Hardy Team Up To Offer a Unique Course
August 6th - 10th at the Haliburton School of Arts and Design
Carver Fly Freeman is teaming up calligrapher Wendy Hardy to provide an introduction to not one but two fundamental lettering skills! Letter-carving in stone, and also Brush Drawing those letters.
These two skills are intimately linked in the history and practice of lettering, and this is a great way to dip your toe in the lettering ink, as well as try your hand at carving in stone.
For more experienced carvers and calligraphers, this is a great chance to extend your skills across materials, and you will know that there is always more you can learn about your own material!
"I as a letter carver, am looking forward to ‘brushing up’ (sorry) my drawn letters, with calligrapher Wendy Hardy".
