Our random facts series of blogs is our fun way of letting you know a little more about the artists you admire. Here we pose our 2019 random questions to Uxbridge Jewellery Designer Jeannine Rosenberg.
When did you first start creating your art?
1975, that makes me very old.
Are there any artists who have inspired you, or whose work you collect?
Kit Carson he's an engraver / jeweller genius. I also collect Art Seymour chevron beads which are absolutely incredible.
Did you like school when you were a kid?
Emphatically NO! Does it surprise you to say I didn't fit in?
What's your favourite movie?
Gone with the Wind
Where did you grow up?
Phoenix Arizona.
Are there any recurring themes in your work?
Asymmetry, surface texture and the coolest stones I can find.
Are you up to anything interesting in the near future?
YES I'm so excited. I'm going to Bolder Colorado to take a lapidary and inlay class with legendary John Heusler. John has been in lapidary for 49 years. He's a lapidary god!
